Again, I think that there needs to be a distinction between the two as situations can change and have throughout history. There was a time when black people were held as slaves under that same flag while their rights under the constitution where being violated. Would you have shared the same views as the establishment then because your dedication to the flag superseded everything else including the constitution?
I love this country and the ideals behind it as well as those that serve to protect them, that is unquestionable and won't change no matter what anyone else's opinion of me is.
