I was fascinated by the aeronautics story line. Before Lindbergh, the avaition industry was mostly inventors building death traps in barns and garages. Amazing how the world turned in a few months.
Yeah Bryson has a way of making history a fun read
I read Spin Move. Not the best writing, but a fun story. I learned a lot about international white collar crime.
I read The Girl on the Train. Good book if you're into easy reads and page turners (and I am). I like that all the characters and narrators in the book are bad.
Now I'm reading All the Light We Cannot See. About a blind girl in France and a German orphan-boy/radio engineer turned unwilling Nazi soldier during World War II. So far, so good. I get the feeling there will not be a happy ending. It hasn't been a happy beginning
I just started Girl on the Train this weekend. It's been very good, but I keep falling asleep. Only been reading it at bedtime, and I've been bushed lately. Really enjoyed it so far.
"...of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

then finished Jay Bilas "Toughness" and went back into fiction... had to decide on Game of Thrones book 2, or Jack Reacher Book 2.
-Went with Reacher because of length.
I think my next book will be Chasing the Scream... about the failed War on Drugs... it looks really good.

Oh yea, I forgot I read that. The killer is ...
I recently finished All the Stars We Cannot See. Longest book with the shortest chapters. It's a slow starter but most of the 2nd half of the book is intense. Excellent prose. Even better than a Canepa column.
It's about a German boy and a blind French girl in the war. Nicest Nazi ever.
