    OL Rankings

The latest football news, analysis, and rankings from PFF. Featuring data-driven rankings and stats for NFL, fantasy football, and the NFL Draft.

    31. San Diego Chargers
    PB: 30th, RB: 30th, PEN: 6th

Stud:Dud:Summary: Losing Nick Hardwick has hurt, with the centers replacing him combining for a -13.2 grade. Perhaps the bigger disappointment, though, comes from the guys either side of him and, with the interior not doing a good job of creating space for their quarterback to step up into. It makes the play of Rivers all the more remarkable.

Not evenly remotely surprised by the analysis. Rivers would be unstoppable behind a real OL.

Its surprising how well the OL played last season and how bad theyve been this season.

Yeah, not sure how much is missing Hardwick, or facing good DLs, but hopefully the unit can gel as soon as they can play the same 5 guys for more than 2 quarters in a row.

Very disappointed in the line's play. The spotty play of Troutman and regression by Fluker is especially worrisome. Those guys need to play better moving forward especially if Watt moves to C.

I watched the Broncos game and was sickened by the pocket that Peyton had to work with. He was barely touched by the Cardinals and seemed to have all day to find his receivers. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the Jets.

They ll probably put some extra time in practicing chop blocks. That worked !

Not shocked! Also think the issues inside affect the OT's.

Either way, we have made it work so far. We can only hope that there is improvement because there's really no one coming in the door that will magically make them an all pro line this season.

The only thing I think they missed is that a couple of the line they list as being awful may allow a lot of pressure, and QB hits, but they are still giving their QB enough time, especially ours. It's not pretty, but you don't get style points.

No Hardwick and no Clary = huge difference. Was really hoping to see Dunlap, Watt, Hardwick, Clary and Fluker late this season.

This past game vs. the Jets is really the only game I thought they really got after Rivers. We simply can't handle elite interior lineman 1 v 1. That said, there are very few of those guys in the league. That push up the middle takes away Rivers ability to move in the pocket which is his bread and butter and it plays to the strength of the OT's which can push the OLB's past him upfield.

We should pick up Incognito, put a muzzle over his mouth, and add some nastiness to the oline.

No thanks. I rather like our team chemistry. Keep that unstable SOB the hell out of here.
