We don't have a chance in this game without a big performance from Herbert... as in..3 TDs no Picks and 300+ type good. I would so love to see it after a week where NFL pundits have bashed him

We had him locked up thru his 5th year option, plenty of time to continue to evaluate him and absolutely make sure he was HIM.

So his price tag would have gone up? So what, we pay him $275m vs $250m? At least it would have given us additional assurances we made the right investment.

Herbert can play better but come on, he needs better players around him and thats on Telesco and John Boy

Today was further indictment of the accuracy of that statement.

Herbert seems to lack “feel” for the game sometimes and, in spite of his very high IQ, doesn’t make smart decisions (i.e. doesn’t even look to Q)….

Suckbert with 4 consecutive 3 & outs and an interception to close out the game today lol It's obvious Kellen Moore doesn't trust him if there's not an easy throw schemed up on a 1 read he's not gonna make the throw and even when the 1 read is there he misses the throw half the time. You'll still think he's a top 5 QB?

The writing was on the wall against Jacksonville.

Airmailed a wide open TD, had another batted down at the LoS and basically disappeared in the second half.

Everything else after that point is just a distraction.

Moore sucks way worse than Herbert. We've lost too many weapons and Moore has done a terrible job in improving the offense.

Not the best players to use in that scenario - those two are obviously being made better by everything that surrounds them.

The real point is that Herbert, if he is truly elite, will play to a certain standard more often than not, in spite of whatever else may be failing around him. Herbert has not shown that he has been able to make this his offense/his team.

Herbert seems to be in a mindset of "follow the leader," rather than becoming that leader; and it's very disappointing.
