NFL would love the Brady in LA story.

Chargers vs Patriots in 2020.
Spanos is running a business.
Bucs don't play them next year.
Think Brady wants to play Bill asap and LA is how to do it.

Also think they may still draft Herbert or Love to sit behind Brady. Win now and be ready for future too.

Pull this off and the future QB after Brady won’t be constantly playing in front of away fans at home. Really don’t see any other way to win LA over. Winning doesn’t work, just ask the Clippers.

I thought it would happen for the reasons mentioned:
some positive press so to speak for Spanii
moving into the new building, they might do better than the Rams
they will be on TV more - zero doubt the first game will be Chargers Chiefs - unless he goes to Tampa than SNF will be Saints at Bucs

he will bring excitement - players will be excited
I am just not sure what a 43 year old Tom Brady has in the tank and is this the right long term move

I REALLY don't want to sign Brady (so much for this notion that Lynn wants a mobile QB). I can't fathom him actually wanting to go to the Bucs, but it would be just our luck to miss out on Brady and then all of the other top free agents sign with other teams while we wait for his decision.

I mentioned before that Lynn had said he wants a winning qb. Doesn't have to be a mobile qb per his own words. He mentioned Brady by name.

Does any of it mean anything? Seems so. Chargers and bucs have competing offers for Brady.

I agree with the notion that we could miss out on other free agents, unless Brady is pulling the strings behind the scenes already. I still have to think they have his potential contract figured into all of this, in case he does come here.

One positive would be existing players can be around a guy who is no stranger to winning. Let's see how it plays out.

Cam Newton is getting traded - wonder if the Chargers drop Brady for Newton.
Newton seems to make more sense in an Anthony Lynn offense than Cam

Brady with Lynn, and our current O line, and lack of depth at WR, and RB, leads to just another crap season for the Bolts.
