I agree that Gates is off to a good start this season, but it is not quite as good as you have stated. He did not score any TDs against Arizona in week one. Still, I will take 3 TDs from Gates every two games all season long. That would give him 24 on the season!

I haven't listened to Jim Rome for a long time. I find him amusing (in very small doses, after large intervals of not listening to him). He talked about the Chargers game yesterday and did a great job making fun of Josh Lewin who was spoofing on the legion of boom nickname. But then he started in on Gates calling him Fatonio Cakes. I took it that was something he must have said in the past that he resurrected? And he did it in typical Rome fashion, half-heartedly indicating it came solely from messages sent to the show. First time I heard that. Gates has always, from day one, been a little, eh, round shall we say. But not fat. Does Rome have some problem with Gates? Gates seems like one of the nicest, most respectful people in the world.
