The next 4 games will be telling about about his abilities. If the offense looks like crap and we go 1-3 I have no problem sacrificing him before the end of the season.

If things get worse, TT will maybe tweak the coaching staff after the season, when obvious changes have to be made. Then again, Staley chose them. So..that might not happen. Still tho, a HC fired who he hired, as part of his package of assistant coaches, accepted by the GM of that team. I think it was the Lion’s DB coach, brought into the fold as part of that teams head coach hiring.. He got fired, by the very HC who brought him in along with him.

If things get worse Telesco should be the first to get fired. Two playoff appearances in 10 years is bad enough. Doing so with Philip Rivers and Justin Herbert as your quarterbacks is even worse.

Jerry Jone’s Halloween costume, a blind referee. The NFL may fine him.

In the last 5 years, several MLB players have died from overdoes of the kind I mentioned. A 25 year old pitcher for the Angels was one of them. A team assistant was active in helping him acquire the drugs. It was a really tragic matter.

Herbert, Bosa, Ekelor, James, Slater, Allen, Linsley, Mack...our best players, all at key positions...

Herbert hasnt been Herbert since the rib injury.

                  Bosa and Slater....gone.

                  Allen mostly gone...return still questionable.

Linsley missing time and struggling with knee.

5 of our best 8 gone or hampered by injury...and now Williams, who has been fighting double teams and defensive focus since Slayer is gone will be missing time....

Herbert and the coaching staff are dealing with his injury, an injury riddled oline, and an ever changing WR rotation...are you really surprised we arent playing well? Nevermind Palmer and Parnham or Kelly or Pipkins being knicked up...

The only thing I lay at TT and the coaches feet is JC Jackson...and unfortunately, they never got the chance to salvage his season...another big loss...

Im not hefting the axe on anybody just yet...and if we do make the playoffs, this staff should be commended...

                  Jury still out, folks...JMO

I have been making this point for a while now. There is just no team in football that could suffer as many injuries to key offensive players and not have it massively affect their performance. If Herbert was healthy, he could mask some of them a bit, similar to how Rivers could mask the crappy offensive line he had for pretty much the entire second half of his career here. But the issues would still be there.

So….basically, this banged up Charger team has to collectively unite and go forth with fortitude. The tight end position is looking healthier, finally. Defensively, this team doing par. It’s the offense that’s gotta step up. Austin Ekeler IS this teams offense. That’s just a bit more than concerning.

                          Better coaching maybe

                          Scale down the playbook possibly
Understand who is not on the field to make plays offensively
Maybe change things on defense understanding you have given up so many big plays and the pass rush without Bosa is not the same

Adapt to the reality of the players you actually have and not what you want to do
