Any heart issue is a problem, but A-fib isn't as bad as some other arrhythmia. But because the blood isn't fully leaving his atriums, blood clots can form, which may lead to strokes. Worse are V-fib or V-tach that can lead to V-fib.

Its the most common arrhythmia, not common generally, but for some reason, athletes do get it. It can be asymptomatic, but if its chronic, you will be put on blood thinners, ablation, or even a pacemaker. It really could be anything from an infection, to Coronary Artery Disease, or reaction to meds or vax.
