They should have never signed him long term, not because he's that bad, but because, imho he's not a QB you win "BECAUSE OF"
Jerry is obsessed with the fluky phenomenon and narrative of, "finding a franchise QB outside of the first round"
He really wanted to believe in Romo and DAK.

ironic that the 1 owner willing to pay for every advantage or luxury possible, pulls tight at the most important position.

I can't imagine being a Cowboy fan going from the 90s to now.

I didn't see this posted anywhere but I will be honest I didn't go that far back. Looks like Worthy in May suffered a hammy injury and has missed most of KC's OTAs. Hammy injuries for a speedster is a little concerning.

You'd have to go all the way back to 1989 to Troy Aikman drafted as #1 overall to find a Dallas QB drafted in round 1...since then, it's been a steady parade of mid-round picks and coupon-clip, dumpster-dive FA specials...

But Jerry is pretty old and won't want to waste a year.
I wouldn't pay Dak 60 mil a year either. Wouldn't pay him 50.
