My favorite concert ever was Garth Brooks. The man was a nuclear power plant on stage.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
    The Wasted Decade is done.

I really like Pink Floyd alot.

I honestly can't name an Anthrax song and not sure what Jello Biafra is. Is that a band or a dude? Lol
And ...I am NOT a Deadhead. Huge following but their music was more folk and not my type but they have a couple good ones I like.

Some of my Favorites are as mentioned before ,.The Stones, old Lynyrd Skynyrd. Without RVZ they were never the same. The magic died in that plane crash even though most survived.

      Some other favs
Van Halen, John Mellencamp, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Aerosmith, Bob Seger, Eagles.
Cheap Trick was very good for a time.

When they had the Sky Shows at the Murph, those were the best til they turned them into Beach Boy concerts after Padres games.

Before that it was an all day event of multiple bands. Saw Def Leppard when their drummer had 2 arms lol, Blue Oyster cult, Cheap Trick, Mellencamp was a new comer then, Eddie Money, wanna say Molly Hatchet. Saw Clapton but don't recall if it was there or his own concert, George Thorogood.

      I'm sure I'm missing a few.
Jello Biafra was the lead singer of a punk band called the Dead Kennedy's. They were SF based and had a minor hit with a song called California Uber Alles. I went to his wedding. It was held in a cemetery and at the reception they served cheerios.

I never got the Dead. Tried a few times.

one of my favorite artists is Bob Dylan but live he was very uneven. Except for Rolling Thunder when he had a solid backing band.

CHuck Berry used to tour by himself and hire local bands to back him. I saw him in San Diego. It was a bit uneven with the local backing band but every single musician who played rock music knew how to play Chuck Berry. The Beatles, Stones and Beach Boys all took from his basic design

            Fun fact

Before they formed the Eagles, Don Henley and Glen Frey were players in Linda Ronstadts band.

It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well
You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle
And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They furnished off an apartment with a two room Roebuck sale
The coolerator was crammed with TV dinners and ginger ale
But when Pierre found work, the little money comin' worked out well
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They had a hi-fi phono, boy, did they let it blast
Seven hundred little records, all rock, rhythm and jazz
But when the sun went down, the rapid tempo of the music fell
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

They bought a souped-up jitney, 'twas a cherry red '53
They drove it down to Orleans to celebrate the anniversary
It was there that Pierre was married to the lovely mademoiselle
"C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

Jello Biafra is possibly the greatest lyricist of all time. His lyrics meant a lot to me in my youth and I love everything he did in the 80s, despite never really being a punk rock fan. They just don't make artists like that anymore. It's all so bland nowadays.

Believe me I mean no disrespect, I mentioned him BECAUSE I have a lot of friends who feel the same way and I get it, at least intellectually, just passed me over personally.
That's basically me in a nutshell, I've always gravitated towards older guys for friends who end up introduce me to cool music or hobbies and many things stick while others just don't.
Jello is a legend to many, many artist I listen to, and I don't have to go past my personal favorite band of all time
                          SEPULTURA
who had Biafra as a guest vocalist on their track appropriately named, "Politricks".
Biafra was many things and bland is certainly not one.
Any JB fan is OG in my book.
