I don't count Verrett as a miss. His issue was not a lack of talent or ability to pick up the pro game, ala Kenneth Murray. He just turned out to be plagued by injuries. And that his something you cannot predict.

I disagree here, because the question about Verrett, from Day One, was ALWAYS "Is this guy going to get crushed like a grape?"

The answer was "Yes. Yes he will get crushed like a grape."

And he did.

We all know Bulaga had injuries in Green Bay.....TT knew it and he said he thought he was worth the "gamble" at 10 mil a year. Would you call that a miss on a FA?

Id call Verrett a miss. Kinda have to imo but tough call.
Telesco took a chance on him because we needed a CB. Dude couldn't stay healthy and missed 61% of his games with us and Telesco knew he had injuries and was a small dude. Sure he could play when healthy,...but so can Joey. And Joey hasn't been as injured as Verrett...and most wanted to trade him.

Unfortunately for Verrett, he has been worse in SF and missed 79% of their games.

So many people okay on here with Keenan ... gone last year before injury a top 5 receiver in the league that can probably play until 40.

JC Jackson signing was a Nuclear Bomb type of failure...I actually think that Bomb was 50% of the reason Telesco was shitcanned.
