It's a good contract for both sides, 14 mil a year doesn't re-set the RB market and Taylor is 24 and will be under this contract while the Colts have a rookie contract Qb.

Not sure if this effects Eckler much. He's 4 years older than JT and the team is in a bad cap situation next year. Unless they add some void years to the contract to spread out cap hits which they could, a new contract would be tough to budget in.

I could possibly see a one year extension with a few void years tacked on to spread out the cap hit.

It helps him because if they tag him the average goes up a bit so he would benefit
