DE - elite, arguably best in the game when healthy
DT - above average when healthy, average currently...good potential
QB - Ha, spin the wheel. HOF one throw, Jeff George the next.
RB - Elite talent and depth
WR - Elite #1/#2, then huge drop off to far below average
TE - Above average #1 and solid blocking TE corps
O-line - Above average when healthy; tragically bad currently with glimmers of hope for mediocrity
Punter - Good, at times very good
Kicker - Great find, and good depth lol (see above)
So saying we have talent or don't have talent or that it's an issue or non-issue seems simplistic.

Okung will be back in my view, his meds helping him manage the scary issue. Otherwise, he would never have resumed playing football !
If we need something to worry about, it ought to be Pouncey's neck.
Feeney plays better with Okung and Pouncey in tow. Pouncey or maybe Quessenberry + Lamp should help stabilize us Center/Left.
Surely Tevi or Pipkins will provide a starter at ORT.
The two players I would not retain are Schofield and TScott.
WR. LB. We cannot address this if we overinvest in Oline.
Sizzling mock on Sunday...

A team who is that talented doesn't get you to 4-7. A team who is that talented doesn't have trouble in the red zone. A team who is that talented doesn't rank in the bottom 10 on third down defense. A team who is that talented doesn't keep doing things that lead to disaster. If this team is so talented, then why do they have so many issues?
Injuries happen to every team. Teams who are really talented can get things done without one of their superstars. Derwin James was missed, but if the team has to depend on the presence of one guy to cover for their deficiencies, what does that say about the them?
Hailed as being so talented, many flaws were overlooked. Went 12-4 last year and had several pro bowlers. People may have been deluded about the roster the team has. The Chargers have more weakness than the organization and fans want to admit.
There's so much you can point out to why the team has a losing record. This just gives invitation for blaming fodder. Anyway, the Chargers are a team that does well when they have the juice rolling. When they're stagnant, you see results like what you are seeing showing up in the losses. I'm not taking away what the team does possess. Because the Chargers do have good talent on the roster. Just not on the level that they are proclaimed or made out to be.

They were considered loaded at the end of last season - before the Pat debacle. Many considered them the most talented team in the NFL.
They've missed TWilliams - particularly since Benjamin flamed out;
however,
Williams/Allen have been banged up, they've missed Henry/Ingram for a good bit of time, & they've lacked 6 pro bowlers for most of the season: Okung, James, Pouncey, Gordon, Phillips & Rivers.
Not a mystery why the year didn't work out.
