Wait...I never said Brown was being cut. I was just lamenting the board's negativity toward a player who showed so much promise 2 years ago and, now, has been reduced to "just a guy". I didn't call him "a guy", FT1 did. I was just commenting that I thought it was a sad story in the making.

I really have no idea if Brown is going to make the team, although his non-appearance so far in PS can't be helping his chances.

And Beer hates every receiver not named Vincent Jackhole.

Yeah...I'm not sure what Mako is trying to say here. No PUP for Brown; and if they were to put him on that new half-season IR list, that would be more than 6 weeks until he can return.

I don't think his spot is a given. he has missed almost all of three TC and missed a a lot of games so far. Eventually, if you like what others bring to the table, you have to move on. I don't know that they are at that point yet, but he doesn't play special teams, and I am pretty sure his roster spot is at the very least being discussed.

The IR list with a designation to return is what I was eluding to. Isn't that a 6 week (from the start of the season) list? Or, did I get those 2 lists mixed up again? Damn my memory! This must be how Q feels every day :smile:

PUP = can return by week 7.
IR with designation to return = he can return after spending 8 weeks with the designation. If it's prior to the season he can come back by week 9. Think he can also practice 3 weeks prior to the return.
