Brown's just a guy.

Poor Vincent Brown. He showed so much promise his first year; was really excited about him being on the team. Now...just a guy. We're keeping 7th-rounders and UDFA instead of him. How far he's fallen. He's the type of guy who could land on another team, stay healthy, and be this year's Quinten (sp?) Early.

A lot of conjecture about Brown. I'd like to see him play too in pre-season, but I think the probably shined in OTA's, and the staff told him to not rush the recovery.

I want to cut the guy some slack last season for being injured (I guess), but injured or not his play left me meh. And when it seemed Rivers had turned the page on him, I suppose I did too.

Can he be what his potential has always promised? Maybe, but I just don't see him helping us win any games (especially from the trainer's table), so rather keep the next man up with potential, see what they develop into. Herndon has some hutspuh, like to at least keep him on the PS.

Sheesh, you're back at this again! Tell me, when precisely did Rivers turn on Brown? You can't, can you, because it never happened! Go ahead and tell me it was after the two wrong routes that resulted in INTs, and I'll go ahead and once more dig out the stats that show he was targeted at the same rate, or perhaps even more often, after those mistakes as he was before. I don't know where you and others get this bullshit idea that Rivers lost confidence in Brown, but it has absolutely no basis in fact, as I have already demonstrated during the offseason.

I am ambivalent as to Brown. He can't stay healthy and he is just ok when he is healthy. I will trust the staff to make an informed opinion as to his roster spot. I don't see the work being done by others in practice. The one guy I think has already taken his spot in the rotation is Inman. Whether or not Brown has a roster spot will come down to his health, and if the other guys can show enough day in and day out to push him further down the depth chart.
