Bachelor party at Del Mar goes X-rated
Betting on horses wasn't enough so bachelor party group began betting on their own stud value

DEL MAR — Some members of a bachelor party at Del Mar Saturday must have grown weary betting on the horses, so they reportedly turned to betting on themselves and their own equipment.
An eyewitness said he saw the men exposing themselves to win bets on who had the largest package. Del Mar security chief Pat Kerins said his men didn’t see or hear of that, but a bartender in the Celebrity Suites area on the fifth floor at Del Mar said women came off the balcony overlooking the paddock area and told her the men were talking about it there.
“Two women came running in from the balcony and said the guys were betting who had the biggest (penis),” the bartendress said. “One guy took his shirt off out on the balcony, and that’s when security was called to come in. They’d been told a couple times to take the noise and language down a notch, but they were loud and partying and didn’t care.”
Kerins said all of the men in the bachelor party were fully clothed when his men and San Diego County Sheriffs arrived after getting a call from a Del Mar employee on the floor.
“Our staff asked them to leave, and they left without any incident,” Kerins said. “They cooperated with us. We heard there was a male stripper or something, but that’s it. No one complained to us that anyone exposed themselves.”
Kerins said he only believed the group numbered 10, but the bartendress and others put the number at 15 to 20, and it was mixed with some women who attended, the bartendress said.
Gamblers in the adjoining area outside the Celebrity Suites could see into the bachelor party’s suite through windows, one source said. One man who was gambling said he and others in the adjoining area saw the men compare equipment.
“They were taking ‘em out, and everyone was hooting and hollering,” said the source, who wished to stay anonymous. “It was some scene.”
