1st quarter done, Chiefs in the Mahomes era have never been down this much.

Mahomes isn’t playing bad at all. 4 drops already in Q1 and were all good passes right on the hands. 3 of the 4 were first downs. their bigger problem is i don’t think KC can run on HOU. AKA THE TRENCH. They will be pressing a pass-first attack all day. Meanwhile HOU is grinding 4-6 yards a carry on 1st down.
If i wanted LAC to win more next year, no doubt now OT is the pick. Problem is Rivers has to be replaced, not necessarily next game or year, but the light at the end of that tunnel is very bright. Win now and next year’s pick just gets worse. Maybe they take OT at 6, sell #2 for a 2021 #1 - and use that plus their #1 and some change to go up and get Lawrence in 2021. They will still be missing some pieces but Lawrence on a rookie contract lets them rent vet FAs. No position saves as much money for rookie deal than QB - that saves ... what ... $25M/year or so these days?
Which is the other option - take QB at 6 and rent some real professional OTs for 2 or so years. Should be able to draft an OC or OG in later rounds, though that requires TT hire someone who can actually evaluate OL talent. Because he can’t.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”
