After watching the game recently again and looking at the game log I really think that Cam was trying to out think everyone and trying to be cute instead of doing what that Charger team did best.

That cost us the game more than anything else.Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.

The thing about that period was that as bad as Schotty was in the playoffs, once Norv took over, and had more playoff success, the team was unable to develop talent like it did under Schotty. So while Norv took us to an AFC Championship game, and was close to upsetting one of the better Pats teams of all time, his ability to sustain it was vastly decreased.
I don't know if Lynn can have playoff success and stay in a cycle of being able to draft and develop talent or not. But that is the key to sustained success in the NFL. You have to be able to draft and develop players.
