You can't teach some of the things he's able to do in run blocking though. He was just scratching the surface last year. Pass blocking gets the headlines though, while run blocking goes largely unnoticed. In our current offense, I'll take an elite run blocker vs and elite pass blocker.
I don't think you can teach the type of intensity he plays with as well. Loved how he finished off blocks last year. He's trying to lay out every defender in his path.
Lastly when compared to the 3 guys taken in front of him, he's clearly been the best of the bunch.
In the regular season we'll see a TE chip a guy like Avril occasionally. They left Fluker on an island this past game.Comment
