So they were working Flowers inside today in the nickel. Stevie Williams still working as a starter on the outside. I could see this as a role going forward with Flowers moving inside and Stevie coming in for nickel looks.
Not sure what would happen with Gilchrist/Addae if that's the case. Keeps Verrett on the bench for now.

Wiggins with a mention:
• Kenny Wiggins, a backup to Chad Rinehart who spent 2013 on San Diego's practice squad, built off a fine performance against the Cowboys. He went 2-0 in pass-rush drills. (Against Dallas, Rinehart won often.)

And the rest of it:
• Chris Watt worked in team drills for the first time since suffering an apparent neck or head injury. The rookie practiced with the second unit, behind Johnnie Troutman. In other practices since July 27, he was the first team’s right guard. He went 3-0 in pass-rush drills, beating Kwame Geathers once and Tenny Palepoi twice.
• Even with Brandon Flowers going full for the first time since July 30, Steve Williams was the first-team’s left cornerback. Flowers, meantime, manned the slot against friend and former Virginia Tech teammate Eddie Royal.
• Thomas Keiser, who had a 2.6-second sack Thursday against the Cowboys, remained with the third team behind Tourek Williams.
• Knocked to the ground by Troutman in 1-on-1s, Jerry Attaochu used a speed-to-power move to win against reserve tackle Willie Smith.
• Rookie Ryan Carrethers worked a series with the first team as nose tackles Sean Lissemore and Palepoi joined the end rotation, which lacked starter Corey Liuget (individual drills only) and Lawrence Guy (shoulder).
• Never thrown a pass against the Cowboys, Keenan Allen filleted several defensive backs. Malcom Floyd punched the clock with another strong practice.

They need to sit Liuget and let him completely heal. Foot injuries aren't exactly easy to deal with when you weigh 300+ lbs. Throw him in the pool and let him keep his fitness that way. Keep all weight off that damn foot for a while.
