Good work. Gay is probably Guy though.

When you lay it out like that Beerman, it seems pretty clear. Except for your admitted bias with the CB's, I could see it play out like that. I like that you have Floyd on the roster, I'm pulling for him.

Johnson makes it as a fb/te hybrid. Phillips stays. I also don't think Geathers is better than Scafe. The team really likes Scafe.

            My changes/questions:

            Offense

            RB (4) - Williams axed
            Matthews
            Brown
            Woodhead
            Grice

Who is Williams? Grice inactive for 16 games...if he makes the team.

            WR (6)
            Allen
            Innman
            Royal
            Reese
            Tutu
            Brown

Innman over Malcom, who will - and should - retire. Same as Grice, Reese will inactive all 16 games (assuming he makes the team). We are hurting at WR.

            Defense

CB (5) - Marshal, Cro, Butler axed
            Wright
            Verrett
            Williams
            Ghee
            Gilchrist
Stinky Wizzleteats (my UDFA predicted to make the roster; I really don't like Marshal)

LOL! I fixed it for ya. You didn't even spell his name correctly.

            S (4)
            Weddle
            Addae
            Stuckey
            Taylor

Gilchrist is not a safety! Why do some insist on placing him there?

Gilchrist is a S until the chargers tell us he isn't and list him as such.

Inman was a tough choice for me, but I think he can stick on the PS. I do think your right that Inman makes the team if Floyd is forced to retire. I just haven't seen enough of him to see if he can play in the nfl without getting that running start they get in the CFL.

Even with Johnson making it as a FB hybrid, we will keep 4 RBs this year. No room for another TE. Grice is taking Mcclains roster spot.

But who is this RB 'Williams' of which you speak? Did you mean McClain?

And...do the Chargers actually list Gilchrist as a pure 'S'? Or is he a 'S/CB' hybrid? He didn't even play Safety in the last half of the 2013, did he? I guess if you're going by the 'official' depth chart that the Chargers have posted, then cool. But do you think that Gilchrist is a Safety? I don't. Doesn't matter how they list him...it's where is he most effective. IMO, that's as a nickel CB. Which is a role (i.e., nickle CB) that I do NOT see Verrett taking. I see him as a starter. Williams can be the nickle; or Gilchrist. That gives us nice CB depth.

Also hope you're correct about Phillips getting the axe. Never really liked him all that much. Just a guy.

Kerwyn Williams. Was a PS guy last year. Some people think he could take over the KR/PR roles.

Indeed he's listed as a the starting SS.

I can see us going with a blocking RB or another TE to compensate.
Either 5 RBs or 4 TEs.

I think they just keep a blocking TE on the PS in case of injury.

4 RBs is a lock IMO with the emphasis on the running game. The only question (in my mind) is if we keep a 4th TE.

Flacco's brother apparently has only played a year of football, but has pass catching skills. He's a dark horse PS guy. Does Byrne still have PS eligibility?
