The NFL sample size is small on the newest Chargers cornerback.

      The potential could prove real.

Brandon Ghee, pronounced "Jee," agreed Thursday to a two-year contract. The 2010 third-round draft pick saw limited playing time in Cincinnati, in large part due to injuries. He did produce, however, an efficient stat line this past season when given the opportunity, suggesting his best could be yet to come.

Ghee saw 80 defensive snaps. Nine passes were thrown his way. Of them, only two were caught with four passes defensed.

A better taste for Ghee as a player will be acquired in the coming months with improved medical luck.

He appeared in six games as a rookie before a season-ending wrist injury. After the lockout, injuries forced him to miss valuable reps in 2011 during training camp, including the first two exhibitions. In 2012, he had a strong spring, regarded as one of the Bengals' most improved players. Then, during an August practice, he landed awkwardly when defending a pass, a dislocated wrist ending his year.

He looked in 2013 to build where he left off.

In the preseason opener, he suffered a concussion that forced him to miss six weeks, including his first three games. It was the second concussion of his NFL career, the first coming his rookie season. But he finished with a career-high 10 games played, his biggest role came on special teams with more than a third of the possible reps.

If he earns a 53-man roster spot, that likely will be where he contributes.

San Diego is open to possibility. If Ghee can stay healthy and produce, fantastic. But it does not consider the search for its starting cornerback opposite Shareece Wright near complete. The team is expected to invest in the position, and likely heavily, during the May 8-10 draft.

Ghee, who made 33 starts at Wake Forest, is an option at nickel corner as well as on the outside. At 6-foot and 200 pounds, he has good speed, running the 40-yard dash in 4.39 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Terms of Thursday's deal were not immediately available.
Rollin the dice. He has really had a ton of injuries it seems. Luckily none to his legs.

Let a Cromarti teach him how to play, he'll stay healthy.

She was born with a condition which deformed her hands, and then she went and had way too much plastic surgery on her face, and basically 'deformed' that herself. Very sad. She was once lauded as being heroic and a role model, for overcoming her birth defect. Now, she has turned more pathetic.
Bree Walker is rad. I don't care about her looks.

Also seems to value players that are versatile and can contribute in more than one area.

I think Graham's contract with Buffalo might be more of a factor.

I just took off running with Graham because I read ONE article saying he might be a good fit for the Chargers. Plus, I wasn't terribly familiar with him, so I figured that he might be less expensive than the "big" CB names in free agency this year.

                        I was wrong...again.

I am going to scan the list of remaining FA CBs and focus on another guy that we won't sign.

Funny i remember when Ghee came out in 2010 he was compared to Richard Marshall. CBs sometimes take a while to develop.
