Former San Diego State running back Adam Muema did not participate in the Aztecs' pro day Thursday, the U-T San Diego reported.
Aztecs coach Rocky Long had said Wednesday that Muema, a 21-year-old from Covina, Calif., was in San Diego and expected to attend the pro day workouts, according to the report.
Muema left the NFL scouting combine without working out last month, saying God told him to do so. He disappeared for several days before resurfacing.
A source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan that Muema's decision to leave the combine was a surprise to almost everyone and that there were no indications he would leave. Teams knew of Muema's decision to leave, the U-T reported.
Since last month's incident, Muema has expressed on Twitter his belief in Lord Rayel, who claims on the Internet to be the second coming of Christ, the U-T San Diego reported.
The newspaper also reported that last week, Muema adviser Rob London parted ways with the running back, saying in a statement that "while Adam succeeded in building his physique, I cannot with confidence say the same regarding his mental preparation."
Muema, who ran for 1,244 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior last season, is ranked the 24th-best running back by ESPN's Scouts Inc. The NFL's draft advisory board graded him as a fourth- to seventh-round pick, the U-T said
