I am just pointing out that he hasn't actually practiced in quite some time. I am glad that he is apparently listening in on the defensive calls. I don't put much into that when it comes to actually playing the game. I am sure, though, that until this year there was no player on the roster that listened to the play calls while they were on the sideline.

Ah the " rust " angle...

On the surface seems simple. Long term though no so.

Play him when he missed so much time???

        And make him miss more!?

I see other guys on the sideline in street clothes not listening to the calls.

          It is what it is.

On further review, if he's healthy, he should play. I mean did anyone even know who Reggie Walker was before he signed with us? He was the Cards version of a slightly better Andrew Gachkar. Obviously he should probably not play all the snaps, but he needs to be on the field for at least half the snaps IF he's deemed healthy enough to not re-injure the foot.

Re-injure the foot in what way?

I am sure that the fact that Teo listens to the defensive calls that he will immediately assert himself as a dominant player for this team. Hell, saying anything else on here would be being negative.

Maybe, taken in context with how bad this defense is, you would not struggle so much with the individual players we use on defense. Hell, once you get past the starters you are pretty much dragging the bottom of the barrell.

Good thing only one starter maybe two get injured at a time. Its not like we will see the preseason second team on either or both sides of the ball all at once...

Your persecution schtick is old. Get over it. Listening to the defensive calls just means he's paying attention throughout the game and trying to put himself on the field. It doesn't mean he will assert himself as the "dominant" player as you suggest, it just means he won't be fucking lost when he steps on the field.

Wow you mean we have no depth? NO SHIT!!! Someone please put out a press release, the Chargers have no depth. Fairly certain every single poster on this board realizes that we shit behind the starters. Saying it over and over again for months on end won't change that fact.
