I was just reposting a photo from the Mike Pereira tweet. I don't agree with his fake punt tweet. This one is tougher to argue. It looks like the refs missed one. I thought they missed quite a few calls from both sides.

Refs missed a lot of calls, on both sides. Never been a good crew IMO. KC got away with some blatant penalties.

All this talk about gutsy calls reminds me of the low percentage passes being thrown on 3rd down & short. Several over this season. Why in the hell do we continue to throw super low percentage down field throws on 3rd & short? The two today to royal killed me...so frustrating! For my health, I'd really like this team to get more 1st downs on 2nd down.

Looking again at the game I think the Chiefs took away everything under 10 yards and dared the Chargers. This team is known for very long multiple play drives and it took a long time for the coaches to figure out how to beat such a defense

They pressed up a lot all game, but the issue was that the team decided to go for those long passes on third down. Take those shots on earlier downs and preferably to guys that can go and get those balls. Royal has never really been a deep threat like that and has a small catch radius.

Those passes should be going to Green up the seem to exploit them pressing up on the WRs. I really think they need to use Gates as more of a decoy sometimes and keep him in to block when they want to go deep. They have the S over him so damn often that Green just has one man to beat, but he's rarely running patterns it seems unless he's split wide.

It wouldn't be such an issue if Brown could beat anyone....another goose egg today.
