Trap Game?

When I said emotions are overrated I was referring to being pumped up. One thing that is always a fear is complacency, that is why it is so important to focus on the basics against a team that is inferior. The only way I feel the Browns have a chance is winning the turnover battle and using mistakes to boost their odds to the point that beating us is possible.

So look for us to come out conservative and slow. Could be close early with us jumping out big as the game progresses.

I don't particularly care for the way Lynn deals with the media but nothing he said this week will have even the tiniest sliver of a bearing on what happens Sunday.

It's because their coaches evidently suck. The Brownies sucks so bad that how much fire we feed them is not going to be enough for them to make any significant difference.

I don't have a problem with the comments made by the coaches this week. Cleveland does have some young, talented players, like others have mentioned, and saying they are talented is showing respect to those players and the team.

Ok then we're agree to disagree then. If I were Hue Jackson I would feel embarrass because the other team acknowledge that my coaches and I don't know how to coach these talented players, can't coach this talented team, to a single victory.

My guess is that the Chargers were humiliated last year by losing to the Browns. I expect them to play angry.

To have 9 sacks last year against them and still lose was brutal.

This team needs every win left on the schedule to make it into the playoffs, barring a complete implosion of Kansas City. There's no way they get caught up in a trap game..

THis is going to be an interesting game just to see how much of an impact Lynn has really had. Last year, this was a game we should have been able to win, and we let them hang around all day and we lost in the end. The last few games we appear to have made some progress. Now it is time to see if it is faux-progress, or real progress.

Cleveland has had a ton of top draft picks, so there is some talent on their roster. We cannot afford to let them hang in, because, especially with Gordon back, if it comes down to just a couple of plays, they have some guys who can make it. The offense and D just need to focus and go make some plays, and then make some more.

This is a game we need to go out and just execute. Set the standard for performance. Any team in the NFL can win if they get super fired up. Emotion is a great thing, but if you rely on it, you are going to get in a game, be all fired up, and then something bad happens, and the whole team will just collapse. We need to go out, and even if we aren't up for the game, we need to find the mismatches, and just go after the Browns. Win the mismatches and keep executing. SB caliber teams win a lot of games that they are just kinda flat. We need to learn to do that too.

Save our emotional energy for the rest of the run. We are going to need it.

Im thinking Lynn is reminding them everyday that their last win was against us and thy are being reminded that by their HC as well. Being told thy can beat us. Im not worried about motivation.

Just keep this game clean without turnovers and play our D just like we have and we should come out ahead. I think we are a chunk yardage team still that is going to lead with the pass and I see no reason to stop this week. Rivers has been playing smarter football and not taking as many risks. Allen will stay on his streak as I dont think they can cover him any better than the recent teams.
