A Gus Bradley defense primer - the 4-3 "under"

For those who like x's and o's beyond Elle King:

With LEO linebackers and weakside defensive ends, Seattle's versatile front seven keeps opponents guessing. Ben Muth takes a closer look at how they do it.

Fantastic! Can I ask you guys what insights or topical points have you gathered about this article? What is the main stuff from this article that either surprised or enlightened you?

I have to admit my brain is lazy and if I can't figure something out right away I frequently push it aside. So these kind of articles that seek to explain more complex schemes or designs at least have the potential of serving as great teaching tools for me...and I'm guessing others as well. Maybe I'm wrong.

I salute Bolt-O for putting it up and maybe we could sticky this thread with more and more strategy nuanced articles like it. It really helps someone like myself learn the game better. Basically I want to go to Steve mode regarding football strategy and these kinds of articles are my best shot outside of a brain transplant - which Steve would probably never agree to.

A side thought for me is the different OL blocking schemes and play calls that have to be made based on how the DL lines up. And based upon the shitty blocking we have had for years, I'm thinking the the O line coaches were getting out schemed.
