I wonder if Tuerk was hurt more than we were told. His rehab might have needed to be extensive and kept him from even sniffing the field. He has a lot of tools (as mentioned, very tall and not the typical body type for a center - but depends on what Lynn wants to do) and can really pull and move. I don't give up on players who I haven't even seen play yet.
Agree on Franklin. He was a FA swing and miss. Telesco has had his fingers burned a few times on the more high profile guys and reinforced by second tier guys (Dunlap, Woodhead, Hayward, etc)
I see Tuerk battling it out with Pulley for the center job. Pulley was ok at guard but he has all the tools to be a really good center imo. That's going to be a fun battle to watch. I see Slauson starting at one of the guard spots, with Lamp on the other side. Franklin is probably a goner. Wish we didn't give Addae that contract. I would've traded Franklin for Pace.
I find it kind of ironic/coincidental that this Tuerk article surfaced today after all of our discussion about him over the past few days.
Is Ricky Henne a poster/lurker here?
Either way, glad to hear Tuerk is still in the mix & challenging for a starting position.
Man, henne has this amazing ability to write ten paragraph articles without actually including anything informative. How is he still with the team, does he work for free?
