For me it would be the same under usage of Mathews. don't think he was injured, and he didn't fumble either so what gives (or not gives)? The running game was supposed to take the pressure off Rivers but then the run was inconveniently abandoned. remember when LT used to get the rock over and over over and then he'd break of longer runs late in games becuase the oppossing D was tired?
Danny Woodhead. like Berman mentioned, he was brought in because we missed a Sproles type of player. turns out we'd underutilize him even worse than when we had Sproles.
also lack of running plays in the redzone (and the abscence of both Woodhead and Mathews down there). I just only remember seeing a lot of multiple wr sets....
as far as D, weaker rotation, and the lack of pass rushing threat, that wasn't that unexpected.
Also, ST is not quite up to par.
On a POSITIVE note (well, it could also be negative), it's only game one in september.
