Bengals at Chargers (-1.5) Pre Game Discussion (Wk 11)

Chargers open as a 1.5 point favorite over the Bengals in LA (have seen at least one site having them as a 2.5 point favorite).

This one might be end up being a shootout. I wasn't that impressed with the Bengals D in the Ravens game, but they pretty much had their way with their passing game vs. the Ravens. I'd for look the Chargers to try to control the clock with the run game and keep pressure on Burrow on D. They have to neutralize Chase, he was unstoppable.

Ravens have a great offense and a defense that can't defend the pass to save their life.

Vs the Bagels imho #1 priority is to stop the run. #2 is to win the 3rd down battle. We do those 2 things and I like our chances.

With 13 sacks over the past two weeks, the Chargers are currently tied with the Ravens for 4th most with 31. The league-leading Giants have 35.

With 9 INTs, the Chargers have the 9th most. The league-leading Vikings have 15.

The Chargers still lead the league in points allowed, averaging 13.1 per game.

The Chargers are tied with the Steelers for 2nd in turnover differential at +9. The Bills lead the league with +13.

The Chargers are 9th in both pass defense and run defense.

Elijah Molden is tied with several others for 8th in INTs with 3.

These next two games are going to define the Chargers' season, where they rank among the league's elite teams.

It was either Colin Cowherd or his sidekick John Middlekauff, discussing the disaster that is the Chicago Bears, who opined the Bears should not have drafted Rome Odunze at #9, they should've done what Harbaugh did, take an OT. There were 6 more OTs drafted in the 1st round after Alt, the Bears need one more than they need Odunze.

              We got this.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

This will be a good test for our secondary and I always like to see Herbert go up against guys like Burrow and Tua.

Hoping we get Fulton back and Chark would be a nice surprise addition.

This will be a tougher offense to defend but they have lost games for a reason…their D is nothing like what it was a few years ago so we have played much better defenses and won those battles. If we can keep up the run game and our blossoming pass game i think we can keep Burro on his ass on the bench. Pressure on Burro has always been his achilles where he pisses himself and has bad days. I dont think his OL is that great so id keep him guessing on protection and make him earn every yard with pressure.

Should be a good test but they are a flawed team so that gives me hope we can exploit those.

IMHO, we gave up too many big(ger) plays to a pedestrian Titans offense than we should have. This is a much better QB than we just saw, so I am hoping that iron sharpens iron this week. We need to be 7-3 when we play Baltimore......that's a must.

                      Impossible to predict this one.

Every facet of Chargers game was great yesterday and appears to be peaking at just the right time coming into this grueling stretch of games.

But we’ve played junior varsity teams, especially yesterday, so I don’t know how we will play against the Big Boys on our upcoming schedule.

Who’s going to cover Ja’Marr Chase? I like Cam Hart but that’s a tall order. Are Fulton and/or Samuel due back?

Im really looking forward to this game and I’m sure the networks are too. A lot of good story lines for media to hype and oh will they!!

I hope Chargers don’t lay an egg just when national media is getting excited about them again like they always have in the past.

This game is flexed to primetime 8:20pm EST. This will be a good test for the team. This is a shout out to the 2 rookie DBs that are killing it. Joe nailed these 2 picks Hart and Still. Lets go!!!
