We lost the AFC Divisional Round game 24-21 to the Pats after going 14-2. Most painful loss I can remember. The Super Bowl was ours for the taking that year.

Eric Parker key drop pass
Marty for reason unknown stop feeding LT the ball in the second half
Drayton Florence head butt
Jammer getting beat deep by Caldwell

I thought of 'Eric Parker's very bad day' quite a bit yesterday. Glad someone else remembers.
Didn't Castillo also have some penalty that erased a turnover or a drive stop? I might be conflating that w/the DFlo head butt, or the previous year vs Dallas when Castillo lightly touched Drew Bledsoe's helmet and we extended a Dallas drive (home opener).
What a shit day.NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED

There were many self-destructive mistakes and big plays during the whole game, but the most crucial were in the late moment of the 4th quarter after McCree's fumble. Jammer gave up a long gain to old pal Reche Caldwell on 4th down. NE wasn't going to win had we stop that 4th down. They withheld that play all game until that moment.
And we drove the ball back to their end zone, only to see Seau stuffed LT on 4th and goal. They made the 4th downs and we didn't.
The abandon of Martyball in the 2nd half was mostly because NE made adjustment and stack the box more in the 2nd half, after a good 1st half by LT. It was more of a Cam Cameron thing than a Marty thing. Cam is generally a pass happy guy.Last edited by vinabolt; 01-15-2017, 07:10 AM.Follow me and my wife here: https://twitter.com/gossip_lady_se

Oh man ... my son and I were there it was gut wrenching
For me it was the head butt more than anything, the McCree move was dumb but at least he made a play and an effort....Forget it Donny you're out of your element
Shut the fuck up Donny
