I am shocked as well. Smart is just camp fodder. Not big, not fast, can’t block or catch. Parham does have some unique qualities. I guess the coaches see something, or he has dirt on the coaches.

Yup. Those are the two spots (QB/TE) for me too. I can't see Jim Harbaugh having only three TE's on the roster when two will likely be playing in the game at the same time. Could Harbaugh be thinking of playing Fehoko at TE? Seems to have the size.

I could see picking up a running back, if the 'right one' is available.

Would have kept Tremon Morris Brash! #57. 2nd highest defensive grade according to PFF in pre (right behind Tony Jefferson)! Sheesh.

Waived Egboigbe (so what if he was a pick). I thought THE BEST made were supposed to make it?

Plus, with Egboigbe possibly on the protected PS along side Hinton, Clark, you can always choose one of those 3 guys to bring up. SMH

One less RB would have worked for him too because we would still have the top 3 on the team and DD as a #4 emergency. Vidal or Patterson (likely Patterson) on the protected PS would have worked! Frank Gore Jr, and MANY #4 RB's (dime a dozen) could be picked up anytime. SMHx2

Heck Brenden Rice for TMB! (Rice on Protected PS. ONE catch outta 12 in pre?!) Coulda put him on PS along with C Johnston, Jalen Gill and you still have 3 to choose from as WR#7. SMHx3

You only have ONE Tremon Morris Brash type of talent. Hope he makes our Protected PS at least. Sheesh X 2!

He's a "bigger" WR anyhoo. Can even add more weight to his 218 lbs. Stone Smart is 226. Same height.

In fact, CUT SMART, put Fehoko as TE (with weight gain).
