So they're keeping Stick and waiving Perez? That really baffles me.

I'm guessing that Stick has only a day or so left with the Chargers. I am expecting a trade for Tyler Huntley.

The three biggest surprise for me:

1. Smartt over Parham or any of the other TEs. I hope it turns out to be a smart move.

2. JT Woods. Why, what is about him that screams "keep me?"

3. Seven WRs.

I am very stoked about having 7 WRs on the roster. I didn't think they would do it. But it's what I would do. When you turnover the WR corps like they did this season, it's smart to roster a plethora of young talent to see what you have or don't have in these guys to rebuild the WR room. Love it! I hope they can sneak Cornelius Johnson onto the PS. I think he has legit NFL chops.

I am not shocked but pleased by the 7 WRs. Its the right move. Looks like it came down to Woods over Brash ina sense. I guess the old addage you can never have enough DBs plus the way Woods showed some potential at CB with that length and 4.3 speed, and he does have some ball skills, led the NCAA in picks one year. Plus they probably like his versatility

Herbert evidently had a meeting with Harbaugh/Hortiz where he read them the riot act.

He couldn't function without the expertise of Stick, and didn't really want to play in that case.
