Man...as I cjrcle back and take second looks at all of the prospects, I always find guys who just didnt catch my eye the first time around...but when I look closer...
I feel like I slept on DJ Giddens...good size, excellant and effecient production, in both run and pass game...one of the best testers athleticly...good size/frame...and when you put on the tape, you see nice vision, and some nasty moves...he got wiggle...but also some tough running in there too...plenty of broken tackles...and...a nice collection of explosive plays...
I feel like he isnt the best prospect in any one aspect of a RB's game....but he is AMONG the best, or at least really good, at EVERYTHING......
There are a ton of players I like in the DT, RB, Edge, and TE classes...I cant mock all of them to us...but I like em'...Giddens is on the approved list.Grant, Loveland, Hampton, Tmac, Golden, Harmon, Pearce, Nolan, Ezeiruaku, Zabel, Barron...and...IDFC where he ranks on public boards...Donovan Jackson

But part of this is that Jeanty can be a mismatch vs a Nickle DB.
There was that one stinkin' play where Herbert hit Vidal a Wheel route.
JK and Gus were pretty average as receivers.
My suspicion is that GRo would not hestitate to exploit this trait.

This draft is pretty unimpressive at the top. Luckily, it's deep at many positions... positions we need.
Loveland and Hampton are my favorites... I hope they last. They probably won't.
I wouldn't trade draft capital away to move up... and I doubt people will be giving away their picks to us in order to move up.
It is what it is. I'd try to get one of the five top TE's (1st or 2nd rounds)... other than that position, you can get good (not great) players at positions of need (Edge, RB, DT, WR, CB, IOL) through the 5th round... and some sneaky good IOL's into the 6th round.
Build good depth this draft.OLineCentric

Part of this is personnel. Part of it is NFL defensive trends. And part of it is GRo, and others with input taking us in new directions.

See Justice Hill.
They will definitely look for someone to pair with Najee. We'll see how Najee does with a power-gap blocking scheme.
If we're lucky enough to get Hampton in the 1st round, then we are set for the next 4-5 years @RB.
Najee's 3.9 ypc isn't nearly as good as I thought it would be.
The top-5 TE's could help out the passing game... take some pressure off of Ladd and QJ. QJ is not as bad as everyone proclaims either. He's not an WR-X... but he has traits that enable him to do things as a WR with YAC capabilities. MW is an X-WR... so he will be given an opportunity to produce. I'd draft an X-WR to develop... with the idea that he takes over in a year.
Depth at Edge, DT, and CB is needed. Those positions are deep in the draft.OLineCentric

Zion is not as bad as everybody proclaims (65.7 pff). I wish there was a 1st-round caliber center... there is not. They will probably start looking for a center to develop (3rd round on down) and let him compete @center with Bozeman/James. The "loser" probably becomes depth at LG.
Talked about the open left guard position as a result and how Pip - probably, is currently the leading candidate to take over that position.
The master plan now is coming into focus.

Hampton or Golden or Ebu would be fine .... but honestly, they can wait.
I'm moving back towards Booker at #22 .... but I'm not hip to early day 3 guys at all.
Just can't pull the trigger on an edge or DT.
