Wood, I hope yer right about Zabel at C...he did well at C in the Senior Bowl...I normally prefer a C with a body of work, but he may work out...mostly played at LT and RT as a Bison...I do like the idea of going IOL early though...and of signing a solid vet, either for C or G...

I don't think ZZ Top would consider that Pip is enough of ahem, a "Rough Boy" to keep around and protect Herbie...time for him to "Give it Up" and do the "Tube Snake Boogie" out the door...

I like Tuimolaoau /Jackson / Jared Wilson ... the first two seem like middle 2nd round guys & Jared Wilson strikes me as an early 3rd guy

Deone .... I want to like him - a big guy who moves like him. Something just seems off about the guy.
I hate how he seems to be better standing up when rushing as opposed to coming out of a stance,
and everyone will tell you that the guy plays way too high.

Our OL would suck ass doing that.

I'd prefer getting a center later (day 2) .... possibly Jared Wilson.
How desperate they are depends on free agency.

Entering the draft with Bozeman as your tentative starter might be a sobering experience.

I'm not interested in Mykel Williams at #22, despite the lavish praise from the scout in beachcomber's post.
Williams looked great against Texas in the regular-season matchup and that's about it. He's blaming his struggles on an ankle injury he battled all year. It's possible.

Take a chance on him at #22 with the thought that he could prove the ankle injury held him back and he's a very good player? Not in last year's draft, which had more talent in the first round. Maybe I would in this year's draft, which I think is not very good--to put it nicely.

I am surprised no one wants Scherff due to durability.

The last thing I want is three rookie interior online men. I want that less then starting Pipkins at RG. At most I want one rookie guard and a rookie center as a backup year one or until proven better than Boseman.

How about 2 FA Guards who have proven to be good to really good players and then draft a C in the middle of the draft to develop as the season goes forward?
So you put two good FA Guards at n each side of Bozeman to start the year. His play should improve as he’s flanker by better help and you can then use him as depth as the rookie C gets his feet under him and by mid season can start.
Possibly Zion would be that C who they get ready by mid season to start…

you had me until you said Bozeman. Boze must be bulldozed. Keep him on the bench as cheap emergency depth if we must but our 2025 starting day plan cannot be Boze is our OL leader. I don't care if he fist-fights every nose tackle on the planet, he sucks at his real job of playing OC.

I would rather play Zion @OC, with zero experience, if thats our only choice after FA + draft + FA some more.
