Chargers won't reach for a DT in the 1rst ... if a stud drops to them, they'll grab him.

Otherwise, they'll sit back and take them in rounds 3 - 4, and develop them a la Eboigbe.

Talking about a reach for a DT, Tillery is still in the league for his 7th season, not doing much.

Is it only me or has he always had that 'guy who strangles the next door neighbors 12 year old daughter' look about him to others?

I would offer Tart a similar deal. If either of them walk, we get maybe a 6th round comp pick...

I would love for them to bring back both Ford and Tart. I think they will only be able to bring back one if they keep playing the way they are. So I do think they draft another DT in the draft but not in the 1st. It will also be a key offseason for Eboigbe and Okoye. If those guys can make the progression that is needed, they will be sittin pretty at IDL for next year.

It would be an interesting decision.

Daniel Jones was a reach by a QB desperate team 4 years ago.
If they picking 2nd, no way they pass on a QB. Take that to the bank. No guarantee they pick even top 10 in 2026.

I agree. A lot of Giants fans are hoping for Arch Manning in 2026, but no NFL team is going to pass on a quarterback one year in hopes of getting the supposed GENERATIONAL TALENT the next.

well you're the QB whisperer, and.... are you giving up on Jones, or do you think it's more of his supporting cast ??

and are there any great QBs in this draft, or are they most all just good QBs, and does that separate them from Jones ??

originally I had the Giants trading down w/Cleveland, and the Browns taking Ward.... ??

my track record w/QBs is 50/50 @best if eye recall correctly....

think there may be a handful of decent/good QBs that come outta this draft, and.... seems like most all of 'em are gonna be overdrafted, and.... per usual.

I want a tight end with suction cups: number 1 quality.
is Fannin any better than Oronde Gadsden or Elijah Arroyo ?? and by how much if so.... ??

He doesn't have a lot of mileage on him, sitting a lot of snaps throughout his career.

Consider how much Telesco spent on a lesser DT in Austin Johnson .... $5 - 6 million?

DTs start hitting their stride around 27? They take a long time to develop.

Chargers will need to dig deeper into their pockets to retain him.
agree.... think they're lookin' @$5-6m to retain the either of 'em, and.... personally would ante up.

easy to go there, and 'specially if TT never really had much of a hand in hiring the any of 'em, and.... both Lynn & Staley had their moments, and as personnel and injuries had a heavy hand in things, and.... not that I'd prefer the either of 'em over who we've got.... the cautionary tale w/Tillery is that he had all those pressures, and which might not be the tell tale/all stat, as think production in terms of sacks and TFLs better translate to the League, and.... this Edge bunch in general is a little light on stats, @least to date.... ??

and for myself, don't really see much in the way of day three DT talent, as Corleone and Howard Cross are pretty likely day two guys.... the one day three, Dline guy that have an eye out for is RJ Oben, albeit he is an ED.

and yes.... hoping for the either of Walker or Grant day one.

ps. thought you were unimpressed/underwhelmed by Walker ?? Grant too, or was it just Tuimoloau that didn't move the needle for you ??

had the same thought the year that the team selecting second overall passed on Blake Bortles, and.... turned out to be the wiser move in hindsight.
