I agree, the rumors that we would draft Latham at #5 had me worried, Alt still needs to get stronger but he's so young he'll be a beast in a couple of years...not the move I would've made but I've always been a fan of investing in the trenches high in the draft, congratulations to the Alt guys and the Pip haters, I can't imagine them taking him at five and still starting Pipkins, Alt has to start from day one IMO...

        Do not love the pick.
Do we have the best 2 LT in NFL now?

He cares about WR. He knows who the best value at the position is. I’m sure he would’ve drafted MHJ had he been available.

Slater can play on the right side, not sure Alt can, we'll see...

He’s going to throw. This draft is loaded with WRs and Herbert can sling it. He’s going to play ball control offense.

The reason teams lose to KC is because their offense gets the ball too much.
Harbaugh is going to take that away.

                Latham went #7 to Tennessee...

So you're telling me that this is the second best player in college football (non QB)?

Not according to what someone else posted. We were picking Alt no matter what.

I didn't want WR at #5, waste of a pick with a draft this deep at WR. But I'm curious if we even draft one in the first 3 rounds.

Correct. The next best OT on TENN board.
Latham is not Alt. If the chargers trade out Alt is taken by TENN.
