It's astonishing how much difference one guy makes. The entire defense looks different with him, not just that position. I think his attitude, swagger and hustle are rubbing off on the other defenders and it sure shows. But I guess we see the same thing from Rivers on the O - somehow they continue to perform with all of the injuries.

It's an interesting straw-man that is being set up, that the Chargers might have won more games if Bosa was available. I'm still on the side that the Bosa camp was more wrong than the Chargers were over the offset language/up front bonus issue. It is way too early to determine DROY, but there really isn't anyone else that can compare... maybe the other JB on the team?

Teams will have more film on him in the coming weeks, but he sure has good skills for a rook.

Its been said that this D has no talent and they would get exposed vs the better teams in the league. They are curiously quiet so far this week.

At the same time they are gather film on him, Joey is gaining game experience, and I notice that he will line up on either side of the line, and I like how they stack the line some times with Joey inside and Melvin Ingram just to the right. One thing film shows you what a players strengths and tendency, but Joey is really advance and does a lot of things well, locating ball carrier, stopping the run, he is a better pass rusher than I thought and man he has a motor that doesn't stop and good hands. So if they key on Bosa double team it should free up Ingram and throw in a Jatavis Brown blitz and who knows Attouchi may even benefit from them keying Joey. Been a long time since we had a defensive player teams have to game plan for!
