And in reality, the true cap savings is like $400k as they will be paying somebody on the roster at worst the league minimum. Now, if they do it - I won't lose a wink of sleep but I do think have to at least get through OTAs and off-season drills.
Ben Herbert has many players to work with : Rumph and Matlock but I think Woods too.

2 low priced FA vets I would like to see the Chargers bring in are Jerry Jacobs, CB, Lions and Quandre Diggs, S, Seattle. I think both will be a good fit with the Chargers. Both are very physical players and shouldn't break the bank.
It seems most are looking at the expensive FAs to fill spots, but the Chargers need depth as well and will need to look a FAncy to help create that depth. I think these 2 could be starters but a minimum they will create that much need depth.Adopted Bolt: QJ

- Chris Jones
- Justin Madubuike
- Christian Wilkins
Probably will decide to not afford any of them. I'd look for value to fill elsewhere on the roster.“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

Madubuike was franchised by the Ravens
So yes, Wilkins would be worth talking too
