Imo he is a risk and ONLY with a reduced salary is he maybe worth that risk. If he don't want a lower salary, then trade him.
Id rather take the draft pick knowing both are rolling the dice but at least the draft pick will be cheaper.
Agreed. The TV shot of him eating Raisin Bran in the booth while the Bolts were getting another Loss made me sick to my stomach. I don't want the guy. He's either AWOL during the season or when on the field he is good for frequent offsides/ personal foul penalties.

I know you like him. You keep mentioning guys you like for years but we have to be realistic with a team that has had so many injured players.
My point is, if Bosa is too injury prone in your opinion, why isn't Perryman?

I get the difference in money but injuries is why I can't trust him or MW any longer. MW has been injured the less of them at 24.5%.

Perryman has actually missed more games than Joey.
It's like 30.7 % for Joey to 32.2% for Perryman.

Two mil is cheap, last year he made 2.6m.... but hurt is hurt. He has missed 10 games the last 2 seasons (29%)

Just think if it's fair and should apply to say about Joey ,. .and it is, it's fair to say about Denzel whether he is your guy or not. The shelf life has expired.

I know Sheldon has been out of the league and why you don't mention him any longer, lol.

Not necessarily . . . . . . . . . I want to win in 24 (pretty sure all of us want that), but I'm not willing to mortgage a big chunk of the future to do so. We tried that - didn't work so good. I'm confident we'll be a better team (with a better record) in 24 than we were in 23, no matter who's on the roster - just because of Harbaugh. My preference is to build for sustainable excellence in the future (2025 and beyond), even if we're not a SB or even a playoff contender in 24.

Again - for the record; IMO our ceiling next year is a WC berth. If we don't make the playoffs I'm not going to be freaking out, as long as we're building towards the stated goal of sustained excellence in the future - for multiple seasons. I see no world where we are competing for a championship in 24 - this is not a rational expectation. Doesn't mean I don't want to win a championship, just means I'm not expecting it to be next year . . . . . . . . Don't worry - Harbaugh will ALWAYS be trying to win every game, we just won't have the horses to do so for a while . . . . . . . . . . .

mack, tuli, and draft pick, plus whoever they can bring in cheap like a van noy
          This . . . . . . . . . . . . . . he's a me first guy. Can't see any way he and Harbaugh coexist . . . . . . I'd much prefer he be some other team's problem - we should take what we can get and cut ties . . . . . . .

B4K wants 10 pix, I wouldn't mind 14, and we've got 8, and so.... gonna pretty much split the difference and give us an extra 2, 3 & 4, and.... given that plenty of peoples act like we have carte blanche in the draft.... who do you whittle down to your top 10 or 11 picks for the Chargers ?? ps. we don't trade down @5, as gonna say we get our extra pix via trade (Khalil, Joey & MW) ??

            1) Fuaga
            2) T'Vondre Sweat
            2) Ben Sinnott
            3) Cedric Gray
            3) Cole Bishop
            4) Daijun Edwards
            4) Luke McCaffrey
            5) Joe Milton
            6) Miyan Williams
            7) Eric Gentry
            7) Cody Simon

what I didn't come away w/are IOL, pass rushers, nor a CB, and so....

for myself, would prioritize an OC (Connor Williams) in FA, along w/ED Dorance Armstrong and DT A'Shawn Robinson

don't have anyone particular for DB in FA yet, and guessin' we'll have to make do w/the likes of Pips, Jamaree and McFadden ??
DT Grant, Deone, Omarr, Cross, ED Mykel, Tuimoloau, Sawyer, OG Donovan, Savaiinaea, TE Oronde, Moliki Matavao, DB JaCobee

If Bosa was still having issues with groin and/or foot injuries... then I might lump him together with Pouncey and Bulaga (both of which I was not in favor of signing). But he sprained an ankle last year... a sprained ankle. IIRC, Mack was coming off of a broken leg the prior year before we traded for him. Then he went on and had a career year 2 years later. If Khalil were to break the same leg again... if Joey were to injure his groin again... or the surgically repaired foot were to be re-injured... then we may have a problem. I doubt any team would want to trade for either. But again, it was a sprained ankle... Does Brock come off of our list because he sprained his ankle last year...? Should we dump Slater for his bicep tear...? Do we cut Derwin because he's had two hamstring injuries...?
I look at Bosa's injuries differently. It's the fact that he's been injured in so many different ways that's concerning. It seems like either his body is breaking down (no matter what he does to prepare), OR he's not putting enough effort into his physical preparation (lazy), OR (worst case) he shuts it down when he experiences a minor injury to avoid making it worse and affecting his career and his ability to earn.

None of this is good, and there's no way we should be using up a sizable chunk on the cap for him. IMO - without any proof other than what my eyes and brain tell me - I think Joey's issue is mostly the latter of the 3 presented above. Remember - Joey is all about the money . . . . . . . . . . . .

I was a Bosa supporter for years, people wanted him gone because he made too much and his numbers didn't reflect the pay etc...I kept telling folks to give him time to get his shit together that the physical talent is there, but the mental mistakes continued even as he became an older veteran on the team, dumb stupid fucking penalties...the Jacksonville game was the straw that broke the camel's back for me...Bosa did enough stupid shit in that game that you could make the argument that had he been injured and not suited up, the chargers probably win that fucking game!

                  The chance that Bosa's willing to take a pay cut . . . . . . . . . . . . . . What's less than zero? Negative numbers? A snowball's chance in hell?

Hope they can find a way to keep Dicker the Kicker! Great kicker and an awesome class act of a person.

That’s luckily not restricted by a salary cap 😅

Maybe Raisin Bran should put Bosa on one of their boxes...
