Exactly. If Perryman can play this week - play him. He is a good LB against the run and if you can limit Mixon in the run game, makes the Texans a bit more one dimensional

Maybe in the regular season you can limit a player or rest them - but in the playoffs - win or go home, you play him this week if he is able to play.

I wonder if he ends up on the PS.

Probably -- can always bring him back after the season ends -- at this point its just a numbers game each week, who can come up, who can go back to the PS

Myles Garrett reportedly doesn't want to be part of a rebuild in Cleveland. If the Browns are going full rebuild, he wants to be traded. Might be worth a call to see what it would cost. He is 29 but still playing like a maniac. I think I would want to get younger if they go after a FA, like Sweat.

Popper's excellent recent article on Bosa--Mack has me guessing again that this may be it.

Might we go EDGE round one and two ?

Gotta like Garrett but we might be looking to roll back our spending allotment and get younger at this '25 draft deep position.

I know we have cap space but a reset still might be on the plate.

Did Apple show enough to be brought back for a playoff game? It will require cutting someone from the 53-man roster. Quarterman as the 6th ILB seems expendable.

Edit: He was injured in his first game on the 53-man roster, although according to Football Reference.com he played in four games, so the first three must have been elevations from the practice squad.

I think the Chargers could easily go Edge in rnd 1 or 2. There will be some really good players available.

I like Garrett as well, but I don't like the idea of spending that kind of money on him because of his age (29). He is the same age as Bosa. Garrett is $19 mil next year and $20mil in 2026. Is it worth it? They could have him for 2 years then would have to decide if they want to re-sign him or let him go. Conversely, Josh Sweat is 27. They could sign him to a 4 yr deal and still get some good years out of him.

As I am typing this and thinking, maybe $19 and $20mil for 2 yrs for Garrett is a bad deal. Then they could either re-sign him or let him walk for a comp pick. This could allow them to cut Bosa and save some money or let Mack walk. I have no idea..lol. It will be interesting to see what they do this offseason. I know I'm excited to see what they do.

They probably need the CB depth also.

One thing I must say that after all of the lows, second guessing and cries of bust, that it was nice to be at Sunday's game and see Quentin finally break out. That catch he made down the sideline was SPECTACULAR!!! Also a 13 catch 186 yard stat line is just amazing. Also amazing is that he accounted for over 50% of Herbie's passing yards on the day.

Keep it up and make Houston fear you.

GM Andrew Berry already said he expects Garrett back in Cleveland

Garrett would probably cost a couple FRPs - at least a FRP and probably a day 2 pick. Not against Myles Garrett but I think its a long shot to get him.

I think the Chargers could go Edge in the draft but also just might take the money allocated to Bosa and sign Edge in FA
Bosa is on the books now for $25m
                        Mack is a FA -

I see only one of the two back

Disappointed with McFadden, iirc, he was originally supposed to take the FB role that Matlock has now.
He had positive praise at the end of 2023 from Slater (iirc again)
now he's not even worth a spot.
I liked him as a pick too.
