That's a lot of TD's for someone who can't get separation.

Is Keenan Allen on his way back to the Los Angeles Chargers?

One would sort of get that idea listening to Allen talk on David Kaplan's "The Big Dog Show" this week.

When he was asked about what his plans are for this offseason, Allen dropped a "it's Chicago or I'm back to LA" line within a bigger response.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
From the pits to the playoffs.

Allen would need to take a major paycut and lose some weight to play for the Chargers. But as WR3/4 - could do worse I guess. Chargers need to focus on getting WR1 figured out before Allen. And maybe he is talking about the Rams

Context matters... How many TD's from busted coverage? QJ's strength seems to be the Red Zone, his success anywhere else on the field is spotty at best.

If they could get Higgins to a long term deal and KA back for a year or two would be great. They all could learn to run routes like KA. It would help QJ out a lot as well. I would only go up as high as $5 mil a year for KA. He’s got plenty of money, at the tail end of his career and probably would love to win a SB and it be with the Chargers.

Recently there have been some good classes but it’s still very risky. The game is more pass friendly today than in years past so maybe WRs have more opportunity than before.
It always depends on the individual but 1st rd WRs make my scalp crawl. I don't trust them.

Q is ours. Work with him 'till season's end and make further decisions then.

My guess is that the staff feels that A. Samuel is healthy enough to play, but Samuel does not trust team doctors evaluation and has gone elsewhere.
There is disagreement ont he extent of the injury.

His contract is up at the end of the season and he doesn't want to go into contract talks as damaged goods - he's being careful.
That would be my guess - he's being extra cautious.
As a matter of business I agree he's making the safest choice for himself and his next contract. But I would argue that if the medical staff deem him healthy enough to play then the other players will know this as well which would make him a bad locker room guy.

True but it isnt up to Keenan. Its up to Chef Hortiz. And maybe Joe would be interested but for a price. How bad did Keenan dislike being in Chicago?

With the cap space priority #1 should be re-signing Slater. They shouldn't wait till his last year. He is going to eat up a lot of that cap space. I'm starting to agree with those that ay Higgins will be too much especially if they do sign Slater. Maybe just Trey Smith would be the wiser choice and look to the draft for the weapons.

this x 100. as long as he is on the time, they should try to make him better. in the offseason, the roster will get sorted out by Harbaugh and Hortiz.

Context does matter. The whole "can't create separation" argument seems to be last year's news.
This year, within the Roman offense, WR's are creating more separation. Deeper routes create more space for secondaries to cover.
If context matters, let's look at the whole season... and not just the last game... where QJ obviously struggled with concentration drops.
