It would be far fetched for me to believe he had no interest and didn’t meddle with drafts and FA after his promotion when the scouting department was still in his organization.
Particularly with Telesco, who in the past said he was a “consensus” type guy.
I don’t fault Telesco considering your boss is also the owner. It would take a better man than me to not say, “What do you think, Johnny”?

Higgins hasn't done himself any favors this year pulling himself out of games with a mystery hamstring and why? Because he was pissed about getting only like 23 million on the franchise tag?! How many guys in the NFL will never make that in a career? Do some research because a lot was written about whether or not he was actually injured and with their team struggling both him and Chase created a toxic situation in that locker room this season over money, fuck that shit, we don't need that element on our team from our WR corps, Mahommes has won what, two super bowls since they shipped one of those assholes out of KC? give me a couple more McConkeys and you can keep your prima donna type WRs, the hell with those guys...

That said, all Presidents of Football Operations have an interest in the draft and are at least peripherally involved. I just think it is funny that people actually believe he meddles in it with absolutely nothing to back that up. We all recognize that the Spanos tenure has been pretty bad through the years until the JH/JH hires. It sure looks like they (finally) hit home runs with both of those hires.

If he worked for another organization - that would be one thing
