Our OL have the size and strength.
Technique and scheme is being installed by experienced veterans.
Harbaugh (lifelong) and Roman (26 yrs) will be overseeing the OL.
Run CO Bischoff (12 yrs) and OL Mike Devlin (22yrs) will be hands on.
Ben Herbert is the S & C beast.
    They want to hit somebody.
Just gun shy is all. Staley didn't do many things well with this team except special teams. But the run game was bad.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Staley was hands off with the ST which is why they were good....lol

I know we're not used to seeing it but IMO Minter has the players, staff, and experience to get it done.
I dont know what our final record and standings will be but if we remain reasonably healthy, we will definitely win more games, and rank higher on both offense and defense than we have in years.... and I believe we will at least be competing for a WC playoff spot. This is going to be a fun season to watch with the TEAM finally heading in the right direction(after years of incompetent coaching) and playing as a TEAM!

On the other hand, Staley was fully hands ON with our defense...and it showed...

he didn't invest in the O line. Fluker was a 1st rounder, that's an investment. Was he the right pick, no. TT did a lot of investment
in the O line, both through draft and in FA. It just never worked out the way it was supposed to.
His "investment" in Fluker was a disaster from almost Day 1.
But once they understood he was a guard (rather than an OT)... what did they do to remedy the situation?
They over-paid for Joe Barksdale whom the Raiders didn't bring back. He was a decent pass-blocker but a piss-poor run blocker.
Neither Roman nor Hortiz would have brought Barksdale in. They would have drafted a quality OT.
And what was their plan after Hardwick got old and hurt...? FA UDFA Trevor Robinson.
Clary got replaced with Troutman. Dunlap got replaced with Chris Hairiston. Fluker replaced with Kenny Wiggans... Sam Tevi... Trenton Scott... on and on and on.
FA's other teams wouldn't re-sign. Players on the cheap with injury histories. Call those "investments" if you'd like.
But if you plan on starting Spencer Pulley at center and Kenny Wiggans at guard... don't plan on making the playoffs (even if you have 6 Pro Bowlers playing on the team).

Investment along the OL... C'mon, you can't point out the infrequent attempts without mentioning the numerous times there was a lack of effort.

              TT was the 'good enough' guy. Hortiz is the 'never good enough' guy . . . . . . . . . . . major difference

Yep...the Robinson debacle was on AJ Smith...but yes, to rely on a UDFA who was barely serviceable was a disaster...now, TT did try, but it was a poor plan to rely on guys like Norton at RT...and when they did sign FA's, they were near the end of their careers like Feiler and Pouncey...maybe one serviceable year running on fumes, then downhill fast...

Yep...TT was indeed the "good enough" guy...until a starter got injured mid-season, then he went FA dumpster diving...Trader Joe, on the other hand, is really building quality depth...

Trevor Robinson was the #3 center,
behind Hardwick & a decent backup .... who also went down.

                    Who was that guy?
                    I forgot his name.

I really think Telesco took it to heart over the past three years to fix the oline. It's just that Staley didn't know what he was doing on offense (Letting Steichen walk) and at the same time doing very weird things on defense. Staley got Telesco fired because he exasperated his weaknesses to the point that both had to go in the end.
