Yep - that is step 1. You cannot sign players on the first day and expect to get comp picks if your free agents are Ekeler, Davis, etc.

I am good with it. Barkley would have been an exciting signing but probably smarter to not release players for the cap and jump right back into cap problems.

True. If healthy, I wouldn't mind it. Supposed to be a high character player, good teammate, all positive traits to add to the roster. Between Gus Edwards, Mattison, Jones - - I mean, they all have plusses and minuses - -wouldn't be the worst signing. Health though is always the question mark

Barkley would have been a very bad signing. He is not the Barkley of old. He's older, slower and injury prone. He was great with the Giants, but they didn't
resign him for a reason. Ekeler was pretty good for us as well, until he wasn't.

Josh Jacobs signed with the Packers and then turnaround and cut Aaron Jones. He is a bruiser and has put up good numbers. He spent some time last year injured. I think Jacobs spent some time injured as well. Jones would be a nice pick and then draft a RB.
