Because there's more upside to replace Allen with MHJ, Nabers, Odunze, Mitchell, Wilson or Thomas....

And replace Mack with Turner, Verse, Robinson, Trice or even the pass rush of Kris Jenkins or Colson!

Problem wasn't KA...it was not having Mike Williams available to not be double teaming either of the receivers. Once Mike was gone the whole offense crashed hard!

Not Allen. Mike Williams maybe. But Keenan is not the guy you seek a replacement for.

A sprained ankle, empty bowl of Raisin Bran, or a thrown helmet will not affect that future evaluation. I'm sure they will use some sort of metric/analysis... but I highly doubt the afore mentioned variables will weigh as heavily as the long-term medical reports from team doctors.

Possible elite pressure rate and scheme fit vs. cap savings and possible draft capital.
If they cut/trade him... understand that he may be bringing the heat vs you during the season or playoffs.
Because that is a possibility as real as games missed due to injury.

I keep mentioning re-structuring under certain circumstances...
          1) You feel you are not getting fairly compensated in a trade scenario. I'm not getting fleeced. A mere $7m re-structure wisely buys me another year of possible production and probably increases what I get in return via trade next year (if all goes well).
          2) You feel the player is good enough to finish out the contract AND helps you sign a low-cost FA, rookie draft class, or practice squad players. If the player is good enough, and reaches FA, you could get a 3rd/4th round comp pick for him anyways.
Screw Bosa, he has been stealing money here and all he cares about really is retiring from football a rich man!

We need to replace Williams not KA with one of the top 4 receivers.

Well, he’s been hurt and the folks that want to get rid of him assume more of that same. Idunno if thats correct or not. But the one position that gets paid more than top IDL is Top Edge.

Keenan was a great reciever here but let's face it he's fragile and there's a 50/50 chance he'd be able to play a full season let alone still be standing come playoff time!

Trade him for a 2nd round pick or high 3rd!

Like another poster mentioned more importantly is to build our Oline, dline TE's, LB's, DB's and running game!

Keenan was a great receiver here last year. He's human but not half as fragile as MW.
KA is Herbert's go to. He'll retire as a Charger.

Not having a decent ground game didn't help, either...

Not sure Reid should get credit, could even make the case his playcalling was a hinderance if it took fairy dust to save his bacon.

Wonder how Lombo would be viewed if he was calling (bad) plays for Mahomes?
I have noticed something over the years.... REID is a master at setting up a defense so they are confused on last drive of half and game..... even in games where their offense has struggled, they suddenly move the ball quickly and almost effortlessly on last drive of half, game and OT......

/they did that against 2 best defenses in NFL last season in playoffs: Baltimore and SF..... neither team had an answer against Kelsey or when it was absolutely needed ....

Andre James Center is resigning with the Raiders. That's one FA center down. Cushenberry would be a choice if they go the FAcy route.

KA being Herbert's go to WR had garnered us exactly zero playoff wins! This team don't need KA's production anymore! We need to pound the rock and protect Herbert! I'd take Bowers as Herbert's focal point this year over Allen as our focal point!

Herbert needs deep threat WR's now and Keenan ain't that.
