    Agreed.

Palmer has different as well as cheaper skills...and he blocks.

As good as Aiyuk may actually be, we already have Ladd for the role type.

Sometimes, especially when we just emerged from Cap Hell, it's better to NOT make a trade...

Looks like Aiyuk has an over-inflated take on his value...kind of like Ekkie and Moaning Mel...

How does the nickname get adjusted accordingly, to reflect that reality?

Players who Los Angeles Chargers could include in a trade for Brandon Aiyuk (msn.com)

If Joe Hortiz were to make it happen? I would concede that's a big enough splash to earn the 'Trader' nickname. It would dwarf any other trade he's conducted with the Bolts to date.
That dude stole my trade idea! Bosa and a draft pick for Aiyuk -jerk - he should give me credit!

And the reason I included Bosa is just numbers from a cap perspective - it would help get Aiyuk under this year - and their salaries would offset next year

Its a long shot - I don't see it happening because of the cost to get Aiyuk, draft picks plus the cap hit. Good player though - really good player.

I am not sure Ladd and Aiyuk are the same player

Aiyuk is better than Palmer in every facet of the game, I think even blocking, but also would cost 4x more so is worth that much of cap space. I think not.

Knob...further proof that at least SOME of these writers probably scour the forums for story ideas...and remember, Sports Illustrated uses AI to search the internet and CREATE their own "original" stories by "writers" with bogus names...

I would not be at all interested in this trade.

And I also included Bosa because he could play with his brother. It was one of those trade ideas where "okay the Chargers are mentioned - what would a trade look like for Aiyuk?"

I thought beyond the draft pick - -it would probably have to include some salary offset and Bosa popped into my head because of his brother - thats it. But you may be right about where people get ideas

And for the record, I think this trade happens when SLIM leaves town with his buddy NONE. I don't see Hortiz using this offseason to create cap space, get some comp picks, seem to set up for long term success to burn it plus draft picks on Aiyuk. Who I think is a good player but not worth the 26-30m AAV he will want

Yep...if u look at Trader Joe's track record with the Ravens, he and DeCosta usually stockpiled picks instead of flat out giving them away in trades...another thing they did was to let high priced vets hit FA and stockpile comp picks that way...rarely, if ever did they sign high-priced FA's...the FA's they signed tended to be the team-friendly deals at the lower to mid-level spectrum of the salary scale...
