agree.....we can always use a good player at learly every position, even backup QB..... but CB, FS, and DT are greater needs....

We are loaded at WR 3-7. There is no go to guy at the top.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

True, base on today..... but that can change..... Puka, a rookie, quickly became the go to guy for Rams.... There are many experts who think Ladd will be a much better pro than he was in college at Georgia in a run oriented offense that primarily passed the ball to an amazing TE.....

The Packers have no go-to guy at the top either. But Jordan Love had a breakout season and the Packers made an impressive run in the playoffs.

It's a physical impossibility for it to stay that way. One of our WRs will emerge at the top.. Maybe 2 or 3 but Herbert will have his go-to choices.

It all depends on how quick Herbert can process reads. We all know he can and will find the open wr. I like that we don’t have a known one at this time. One will emerge and then we will. To me, the tight ends are going to flourish this year. As soon as the come down to stop the run, a tight end will just go over the top… touchdown.

Last year when DCs would send the jailhouse break at him, he was buried before a receiver got any separation. Often buried in 1.5 sec. The reason Slayer got 100+ RECs is he was the one guy making a cut to create even a 1/2 yard window to throw in to. This year, when Herbie has some time, with Ladd getting quick separation, Q getting off the LOS better, who knows about Chark or the rooks, … I expect he has a quick read he can actually choose.

I’ll ride and die with Herbie - he is the golden god! Onward!

As my mentor Topcat might say, when it comes to Herbie processing a read, you can book it!

I think you are right. I think Herbert is going to have a great season, but he will be spreading the ball around to guys up and down the WR depth chart, and to the TEs. Dissly will be a secret weapon, as you suggest, I agree. He had 34 catches for 350 yds and 3 TDs in 2022. If he repeats that in 2024, it will be a success, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a few more TD catches though.
