Can't see NE *not* taking a top QB, given that Brissett is all they have right now. And I'm not sure they're willing to go with a lesser (on the surface) QB (like Penix or Nix) given what they just when through with Jones. AZ...that's a possibility, as they don't need a QB.

And next years QB class is just…meh.

To move AZ off MH2 will also require a kings ransom and they are going to use the word “generational” when discussing draft compensation a lot. I don’t see them as a viable partner unless Harrison is privately being an Eli.
5 is the prime spot because the Chargers don’t need a QB so the asking price won’t be astronomical. And it’s probably going to be JJ who was coached by Harbaugh making it even easier to consummate the trade.

Better hope one of Odunze, Nabors or maybe even Bowers is there @11. Because if not we get hosed by trading away
our best WR. Now if we do land Odunze and get Minny's #23 then we are golden. We can end up taking a great WR prospect
and one of the better CBs, which we need. The NFL draft is funny, we may see a run on WRs and Bowers before the #11 pick.

But something tells me the Vikings will trade with Arizona @4 or NE @3 to get their QB.

Stick back...meh. they need bodies. Doesn't mean he make 53 roster. And if he does,.Im sure the plan is hand the ball off and make the simple throw. Play good defense and hope Justin is back asap. Pretty much same situation every NFL team is in.

No Linsley, Williams, Eckler, KA, Everette...right now he must feel like how people feel after getting into a car wreck and your the only survivor. Going to be hard until the team starts to shape up around him. Yeah, you have to adapt but it's not going to be as smooth for awhile until we get a rhythm.

One of the prices you pay when you start taking your 52 million a year soon as a franchise QB. Sacrifices on the roster will have to be made at times so you get your humongous paychecks

Hopefully Herbert will take the next step and earn it, which means winning games like Mahomes does even when he doesn't have a stacked WR core.

If the Chargers stay at 5, it will be Odunze or Nabers. If they move back, who knows. Raiders might want to move up for QB too -- granted, that price would be steeper

If I was Chicago, I'd trade with washington and get another 1st, then trade with minny and get two more firsts and Justin Jefferson.

To me this makes him untradable, why would any team trade for him knowing it's strictly a one year rental with zero chance of keeping him beyond 2024...and if his sole mission is to remain in powder blue for one more year just so he can walk free in 2025, how does that motivate him to do well or have a great season for the bolts? All the guy cares about is going to one team to be with his brother, so much for the hostage deal...I have to see the details of the deal but this so called paycut is more like a "buyout" of his contract, it's like Eli Manning but not as public and Spanos hate being embarrassed, all I gotta say is that they have treated this man like royalty, paying him like he was one of the best defender in the league for years and he took the money even though he didn't want to play for them...

I agree - he is untradeable in 2024 - he'll be a Charger for one more year. He's positioned for a new contract with another team next year, but in order for that contract to be big money he'll need to stay healthy AND be impactful. I think Charger mgmt. has been clever playing this game with Joey - they've managed to save significant 2024 $$$'s, avoided another roster hole to plug, and at the same time created a situation where Joey will be highly motivate to perform well. Sounds like a skillful win / win to me.

Cardinals have a lot of draft capital - - and maybe they want more. Or maybe they want the top WR to add to the offense with Murray. They got the OTs covered; they have done a lot of work on the defense in free agency, have a solid TE - and have just traded Rondale Moore and didn't bring back Hollywood - the WRs they have probably is worse than the Chargers today. Now maybe they trade back for 11 and 23 - and still get WR and fill in more depth - but I am not so sure they move off WR -- I think they got MHJr or Nabers.

IF another team (Minn) wants to trade up for a shot at a top QB it will be a competition between AZ and LAC to see who asks for the least . . . . . . . . . . it will be ticklish. My bet's on Hortiz to make the right play.
