The coaching staff did rave about our pass rush, so I guess it is not surprising that they wanted both back. Perhaps a better scheme and an elite training staff can keep him on the field.

Until I read the words "agreed to a pay reduction" I am going to be disturbed by multiple huge contract restructures. Accepting a pay reduction is the only magic bullet. Everything else is just pushing current issues into the future.

But if they just pushed another $10m of cap - added to the $15m from Mack and if you add Allen - now you are up $40m of cap space pushed to next year.
They might be best to just leave Allen’s contract alone this year.

But you are right, maybe they are doing this to facilitate a trade. Which would need to happen with that $7m bonus due Saturday and the Niners seemingly interested
They were projected at $112M under the cap next season. I don't think it's an issue

Harbaugh already had a nice little talk with Bosa so I'm pretty sure Bosa knows he finally has a HC and DC who have the right stuff. I'm excited to see what Joey does now on a good well coached team!

Agree with you. Especially for a player that has missed so many games. People have written that Bowers is off the board - if Bosa is truly back, Dallas Turner is off the board

Apparently it's not liar's month at Chargers park. They said they wanted to run the ball more and got Gus Edwards and Sissly. Minter said he was excited by Mack and Bosa, 2 guys who thought may be released and/or traded, and they keep both of them.
